I visited Grant last Thursday and was absolutely amazed at his recovery from a double-lung transplant. This photo was taken with his wife Lori shortly before being transferred from the ICU step-down to the 7th floor transplant patient unit.
Grant was in excellent physicial condition prior to his transplant, and had been exercising every day. I'm sure his speedy recovery was a result of this, along with his very positive attitude, of course.
He is an inspiration to us all.

Merv, this is a Miracle man. I am so elated at his quick recovery, and wish all transplant patients could go through this surgery and be doing so amazingly well in such a week. God bless him, and his donor and Family.
Postscript: Grant was discharged from the hospital 11 days after his transplant. He and Lori were back at their home in Waterloo, Ontario by 6 p.m. Thursday evening, August 17th.
This is a truly amazing story!
