She died 5 months later from pneumonia which is the most common cause of death for people with her disease. The lung used may have been from a smoker but it was in good condition. They would not have used it if it would not have been of benefit to the recipient. All organs are used and quite a lot the history of the donor is not known. As much as I have sympathy with her parents for their loss, I am sure she would have wanted to live with a non perfect set of lungs than to die waiting for near perfect ones.Sue Jaymesnoreply@blogger.com
